The Bargain Buggy: Healthy on a Budget

Note to self: Add to The Bargain Buggy slogan A PEEK IN THE BUGGY OF A BARGAIN FINDING "HEALTHY" MOBILE MOM...Healthy you read that right. Eating healthy on a budget will be my new focus on my shopping trips. Our health should always be a top priority, but that's not always the case. Pairing healthy eating with saving money can be tough. A lot of the items on sale are "junk"--sorry, but they are. I admit I have bought plenty of them just because they were a great deal (and mighty good). But they can have a negative effect on my overall health.

The game is about to change! My goal is still $30 week...but now it's going to be a healthy buggy on a healthy budget. With summer around the corner, I am ready to get bathing suit ready...but first and foremost be healthier for me and my family. So join me in my efforts...Be sure to check out the new buggy pictures and posts to come.

I think many of you will enjoy this--and possibly join me in my efforts. My mission isn't to lose weight(although it will happen with a healthier diet)--It's about eating right, feeling good, taking care of me and my family AND STAYING ON A BUDGET!

I think that's a great goal. I know I can feed my kids cheaper, but nutrition is very important to us. The junk stuff is fine on occasion and I like seeing the deals - esp. really good deals. We really love fresh fruits and veggies and those are harder to find deals. I look forward to seeing what deals you discover!

I think that's great! My grocery bill could really be small if I fed my kids junk, but I try to feed them mostly organic, which is alot more expensive but I think worth it. I will look forward to seeing the deals you find:)

I am so glad you are doing this blog! As someone who has recently lost weight and gotten very fit-my number one goal is to STAY that way. I hope there will be more coupons for the healthy stuff!
