A suggestion for readers looking to rid themselves of the stockpiled shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, razors, etc...October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. Penelope House shelter in Mobile is always in need of these items (as well as diapers, formula, etc). Donations are accepted at the store, Penelope's Closet, off of Old Shell Rd near Old Dutch Ice Cream. They are open Tuesday- Saturday.
