REVISED: Local Coupon Policies compiled by The Bargain Buggy

My goal? To provide readers with a tool that can be used to teach oneself how to strategically shop with coupons ANYWHERE. Yes, you know where I think you get the best deals. But I am also realistic and know that some folks just can not get there or do not have a Publix around. So I provide local store policies here on the site. These local policies were compiled by me as of 10/13. As always subject to change.

A couple of changes to note below:

GROCERY STORE COUPON POLICIES (Mobile, AL 10/13/09)

WINN DIXIE Midtown
Does not double coupons.
Does accept internet coupons.
You can use two manufacturer coupons on B1G1 items(purchasing 2 items).
Must buy 2 of the B1G1 deals to get the sale price.

FOOD WORLD Dauphin Street
Does double coupons .50 or less. Unless the coupon says NO DOUBLING.
Special 3 days sales they will advertised triple coupons, .50 or less.
Does accept internet coupons(color/black & white).
No FREE coupons off of the internet.

BRUNO’S Springhill
Does accept internet coupons (with manager's approval).
One coupon per item (no stacking).
Do double coupons .50 or less.
Coupons for more than fifty cents will be redeemed for the face value.
The total redemption value must not exceed the price of the item. (no overage)
Expired coupons will not be honored.
Tabacco, cigarette, alcoholic beverage or free items cannot be doubled.
If multiples of the same item are purchased, up to ten coupons will be doubled. After the 10th coupon, the remaining coupons will be redeemed at face value.

Accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued and manufacturer-issued.
Accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it. (Stack)
Target can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in this case, we're able to adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
Target can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you're checking out.

PUBLIX
1. COMPETITOR COUPONS: Publix in Fairhope accepts competitor coupons(Target, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Bruno's, Winn Dixie).
Publix in Orange Beach accepts competitor coupons(Brunos, Winn Dixie, other local grocery stores). NO FOOD LION(FLIPS) coupons accepted in our area. No Family Dollar, etc...
2. STACKING: You can use ONE PUBLIX/or competitor coupon and ONE manufacturer coupon per ONE item. So, a max of TWO coupons per item. This is called stacking.
3. DOUBLES: Orange Beach and Fairhope Publix locations do NOT double manufacturer coupons. Some Publix stores do double coupons that are.50¢ or less.
4. DRUGSTORE COMPETITOR COUPONS: Fairhope location will accept local drugstore coupons as competitors(CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid). Orange Beach will not accept drugstore coupons.
Now this may be helpful if you happen to receive a $5/30 or even a $10/50 at CVS. These CVS coupons are found on the bottom of your receipt, CVS emails, or price scanners where you can scan your CVS card for additional coupons. THEY DO NOT TAKE CVS ECBs. ONLY $5 off purchase amount coupons.
Walgreens Rebate Rewards, which are manufacturer coupons printed at the register are also accepted. You can use these to pay...BUT you may only use one RR of a particular Retailer. You will notice on the RR that in the fine print it will say Retailer:Dial, Dove, Pilot...Whoever it is...You can only use one. One Pilot RR. One Dove RR. One Dial RR. You could use three...but they each have to be from a different retailer.
5. USING $/$$ OFF COUPONS: (Spend $30, Get $5 off).
Remember always hand these coupons to the cashier first and then your other coupons.
Rolling list of $/$$ offs HERE! In Fairhope, you can use ONLY ONE $/$$(local drugstore, local grocery store). Orange Beach ONLY ONE Publix $/$$ off coupon.
6. Publix will accept "cents off" Internet Coupons for $5.00 or less. We will accept "free product" Internet coupons for $5.00 or less. We also reserve the right to reject any Internet coupon that does not appear to be legitimate or does not scan properly. Internet coupons valued over $5.00 should be approved by a Manager or Customer Service Team Leader.
