My Walgreen's Savings 11/30

UPDATE: YMMV(your mileage may vary) with this deal depending on the manager at the location. Some are not allowing the Olay because you are getting the Quench lotion free, and that is a qualifier for the shower lotion. So working this deal successfully will vary from store to store. Trust me I get as frustrated as you all when these deals do not work for you! I know some of you have had good luck.

Please help me figure out what went wrong with my deal. I tried the exact Olay deal. The machine would not let me use two coupons. The manager said that P&G would not let you use 2 coupons at one time. Then the Quench-in-shower lotion did not come up free. I would just like to know! Thanks!!!! I did get the body wash and lotion for $2.99.

Jackie, Which store and manager's name? I shop the Loop and NEVER have problems. As long as you were buying the correct items you should have been allowed to use your manufacturer coupons. You can message me if you want bargainbuggy@gmail.com

I tried the Olay deal, too. The P&G coupon (buy one body wash, get one lotion free) would not scan. The manager said I would need to buy the $7.99 body wash (not the smaller, $2.99 body wash) for the coupon to work. I don't really understand why I would have to do that because the coupon only excludes trial size. Any ideas/suggestions??

I just spoke with Walgreen's Corporate...They suggest calling them and reporting the issues you all are having. That is the only way any of this will get fixed. 1-800-walgreens, Option 4

For the record I did try and do everything that was possible on the store level to satisfy this bargain. The problem was there two many differences with the price of coupon and the final price of all the products. Not one person had a definite now how of how the bargain was supposed to work and all I was told is that it should be $1.99. One customer showed me the printout of your article and I sat there patiently with both of the ladies in line to try to get this to work. The big problem was some of the pricing typed in the bargain were wrong which was confusing everyone. After store hours I tried every way to get this to work and the lowest it would go was $3.99. You could not use full price on the coupon, and no you cannot push a coupon for more than its worth. The key thing that was left out to get to $1.99 was a $2RR. Please next time don't bash my store on a website, and bring me in the bargain on paper if it's not clear and we will spend the time with everyone to try and make sure you are happy before you leave. To the ladies that did not get there bargain I am sorry.

And thank you Walgreens. However, I am still confused on how this works at one location but not another. I worked this Olay just like the above states and it worked.

I bought the $2.99 wash. Used the $1/1 coupon from the paper. So the wash cost $1.99. Then I used the buy wash, get lotion free coupon from the paper. So the lotion was $0. And then the the Walgreens promo was get free shower lotion when you buy lotion. So I got it free too. So I spent $1.99 after my coupons for 3 items. Walgreens gets reimbursed for everything but their promo of free lotion.

Right?

We do get reimbursed for all coupons. None of the shoppers had $1/1 coupon from the paper that was the one that was missing. They had the wash and lotion free coupon and that was it. The biggest problem was the coupon for the lotion had a max value of $7.98 "not stated", but found out after the fact by the manufacturer. That is why the registers was knocking it out b/c of a $7.99 price of the lotion. The customers was confused from the get go on how the bargain was supposed to work therefore confusing my employees. Also, this is the season for cons and so forth so employees everywhere are on guard a little more.

I understand. Sounds like a problem on the manufacturer's end. Many people are trying to learn to shop your store. Please be patient. They are only trying to save $. I post many of these "deals" after they are sent to me by other customers. If they work, I post. If they fail for me, I do not post. I assure you using coupons correctly is not fraud. I have actually taught employees that handle fraud at many large stores. Consumers are trying to be wise and shop the sales your store is offering during these tough times. There is a learning curve when it comes to shopping drugstores(Register Rewards, etc...) I have never shopped your location, however I received several emails about Walgreens stores being different depending on where you go. I did express this to Walgreens. If you ever have problems please feel free to email me direct at bargainbuggy@gmail.com I am not here to cause problems for you, instead bring business your way. Again, thank you for your concern. It shows you really do care about your customers.
